Nautilus Homes Voted Sarasota’s Best Contractor and Top Home Builder

best of srq 2018Nautilus Homes was voted winner of Sarasota’s “Best Contractor” category in SRQ Magazine‘s 2018 “Best of SRQ” April issue. As a second-generation luxury home builder in Sarasota, Nautilus Homes president Ryan Perrone and vice-president Ricky Perrone, along with the entire Nautilus team, are honored and appreciative of the votes for Nautilus Homes as “Best Contractor” by so many in the community. Our company also won second-place in the “Best Home Builder” category.

Creating relationships with our clients and with our partners in the design and construction community is an honor. Building finely crafted custom homes in a place as truly magical as Sarasota is a privilege. Being voted Sarasota’s Best Contractor and one of Sarasota’s top home builders is a highlight of our year.

According to the editors at SRQ Magazine, “Nautilus Homes boasts a reputation among our readers for custom, ambitious contract work.” And, these words about us from Patty Dittman, quoted in the magazine, back that up: “Very cutting edge and accommodating to all styles of homes.” We appreciate the very kind words.

The editors also wrote, “There’s no home sweet home without homebuilders in town laying the foundations of this community.” We agree — and that’s why these words from former client Steven Hagan, quoted in the magazine, mean so much to us: “Quality of product and attention to detail and customer satisfaction is always the highest priority. That professionalism is not typically found in this industry.”

We noticed many of our colleagues and friends in the community mentioned in the magazine’s “Best of SRQ” rankings. Our legal eagle friends at Berlin Patten Ebling were voted “Best Legal Firm.” The talented Mark Sultana and April White of DSDG Architects were voter favorites pulling in “Best Architect” and “Best Interior Designer,” respectively. And, super Realtor Kim Ogilvie of Ogilvie Luxury Real Estate was voted 1st Finalist in the Best Real Estate Agent category. Our congratulations go out to these phenomenal professionals! Nautilus Wins Sarasota Burns Court Remodel Home of the Year Award

Nautilus Homes has won a Silver Award for its Sarasota Burns Court remodel project from SRQ Magazine’s 2017 Home of the Year Competition.  Nautilus Homes was recognized by the magazine as being one of the Sarasota Florida top home builders who “pulled out all the stops” in their work on the homes winning this year’s competition.

“This historic renovation at 422 Burns Court was a unique opportunity to work with our client in reviving an historic home in an iconic downtown Sarasota neighborhood and bring it back to its former glory,” said Nautilus Homes president Ryan Perrone. “The size of the home – only 1,000 square feet — presented some unique design challenges. We were honored to partner with Ellen Hanson of Pansy Bayou; Elite Woodwork; and Paramount Stone to find innovative solutions to preserve the historic importance and most efficiently utilize the space of this exciting home renovation project.”

The key features of this house include: all new Loewen aluminum-clad wood push-out windows with old-fashioned wood-framed hinged screens, a phenomenally designed kitchen, master bedroom built-in wardrobe, totally reconfigured master bath and all new courtyard walls (front and back). Interior trims were matched to the profiles that were used originally and reused the interior doors and hardware with minor refurbishment along with refinishing the walls and ceilings throughout to a level-5 finish.
