Nautilus Homes’ historic renovation and remodel of a lovely, but dated home in Sarasota’s Burns Court neighborhood is featured in the May issue of Sarasota Magazine. At under 1,000 square-feet, the remodeling project was much smaller than the typical Nautilus Homes project, but president Ryan Perrone says the project fits right in with his company’s vision and commitment to creating homes that will not only stand the test of time, but reflect the values of timeless quality and craftsmanship.
Quoted in the article, Ryan described the renovation project’s allure: “It’s iconic. It’s not a trend, it’s not a fad, it’s forever.” Check out the triptych of images in the header photo on this page (from Sarasota Magazine’s article and photographer Gene Pollux) and read the full story, written by Ilene Denton, here: A Historic Burns Court Bungalow.
Ryan and his team collaborated with Sarasota-based interior designer Ellen Hanson (of Pansy Bayou) on the project. “Our goal was to preserve the historic integrity and charm of the home, while updating it completely and maximizing the utilization of space,” Ryan said. “Ellen had fantastic ideas for space and design; it was great fun to work with her on this size-challenged home.”
Nautilus Homes utilized local vendors and established subcontractors during the project, including the outstanding team at Engler Window and Door.
