Nautilus Homes: Taking inspiration From Tuscany and Curacao

Nautilus Homes: Taking Inspiration From Tuscany and Curacao

Back in October of 2014, Nautilus Homes was featured in Architects and Artisans to discuss the rich influence that homes in Tuscany and Curacao have on the homes we build in Sarasota, Florida.

I feel that it’s my duty as president here at Nautilus Homes to often travel to places like Umbria and Curacao in order to get real life samples of the architecture and style.

It’s true, as they put it over at Architects and Artisans:

“If you’re going to build a home based on the architecture of northern Italy or the Dutch West Indies, it’s probably a good idea to visit those places.”

My family and I here at Nautilus Homes take inspiration for the homes that we build from our travels abroad to view the villas. We’re interested in assuring that our clients get out of Florida what they moved here for. Many come down from North Carolina or Ohio and think it is full of bugs and mosquitoes, but it’s only hot during the day, cool during nighttime, and the mosquitoes are only at sunset.

That is why our custom homes are designed to make the backyard into an oasis with lushly landscaped settings for shorter times outside during the day and then longer social encounters during the evening.

Building a custom home like this can take nearly a year, sometimes, but keeping our clients informed and stress free is of paramount importance to us here at Nautilus Homes.

You can see the entire feature here at Architects and Artisans.

And, don’t forget, If you live in and around Sarasota or are soon to be relocating to Sarasota, please call us anytime or come into our office for a complimentary consultation. We’ll design and build you the home of your dreams, and really make the entire space, inside and out, come alive.
